On-line video resources for techies

  • blip.tv: just saw they posted talks from OSCON 2009, including a talk by Eric Meijer called “Fundamentalist Functional Programming“. Also has a great set of talks on Clojure by Rich Hickey.
  • parleys.com: videos from conference talks, includes both video content, slides, and a TOC for the slide presentations.
  • Google Tech Talks: generally not very good quality (sound, video), so takes some time to sort through the mass of videos to find something worth watching
  • InfoQ: includes both presentations and interviews. Quality often very good, with synchronization between the video and slide content, or video and interview questions.
  • Channel 9: A Microsoft site which covers mostly MS technologies. Quality is pretty good, although IMO content tends to have a slight pro-MS marketing slant.
